Style A panels shall be field retrofittable to provide electrical power outlets. Necessary power components, such as power feeds, power poles, pass through cables and replacement duplex outlets shall be available. No special tools shall be required to retrofit panels.
Style B panels shall be prewired with a six wire, three circuit system with a minimum of 20 amps per circuit. Prewired is defined as including the internal wiring, junction boxes, jumper cables, etc necessary to access power from a contiguous electrified panel, except that duplex receptacles may be provided separately. Panels widths of 48 inches and 60 inches shall allow a minimum of four duplex outlets per panel. Panels widths between 36 inches and 24 inches shall allow a minimum of two duplex outlets per panel. Color or number coding of the outlets is required.
Levelers. The panel lines shall provide for precise alignment of adjacent panels and shall have leveling devices to compensate for uneven floors. A minimum of 1 – 1/2 inches of adjustment is required.
Support legs. Support legs or feet shall be available to stabilize extended panel runs.
Wall mounting brackets. The panel line shall include wall mounting brackets to allow attachment on panels to fixed walls and building support post.
Interconnection. The panel system shall allow interconnection of two panels at angles of 90, 120, 135 and 180 degrees, three panels in T and Y configurations and four panels in an X configuration. Panels of different heights shall interconnect at 90 and 180 degrees. Connection shall be tight without gaps between panels and shall provide a rigid stable structure.
Component mounting. Panels 51 inches or greater in height shall allow attachment of components on both sides of the panel. Panels less than 50 inches in height shall allow attachment of a counter top at the top of the panel. Counter tops shall be mounted in a manner that will provide a stable surface. Panel shall allow component mounting without penetration of the fabric face of the panel. A positive locking device shall be used to prevent accidental component and panel separation.
Components.
Shelves and cabinets. Shelves and cabinets shall be provided in a minimum of three widths to match panel widths. Shelves shall be also available in an approximate 60 inch width. Height shall be 13 – 1/2 inches, minimum clear inside dimensions. Standard depth shall be 12 inches, minimum clear
