the performance of all inspection requirements specified herein. Sampling for inspection shall be performed in accordance with MIL-STD-105, unless an equal or better plan is approved by the contracting officer or his/her representative. A lot shall consist of units of one style and color. The sample shall be one each. Inspection levels and AQL’s shall be as follows.
For fit, finish and all other workmanship – Level II, AQL 6.5 defects per hundred units.
For packaging, packing, and marking – Level S-2, AQL 4.0 percent defective.
Any failure to meet the dimensions, color, identification label or performance requirements shall cause rejection of the lot.
Performance.
ANSI/BIFMA. Each credenza shall comply with the requirements of BIFMA Desk Products Standards X5.5 – 1989, with the following exceptions.
Exceptions to BIFMA American National Standard X5.5 – 1989 Sections 13.2.2, 13.2.3, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 are not applicable.
Level test for top. This test unit shall be located on a flat surface. Place a steel straight-edge on edge, diagonally (corner to corner) across the top. The length of the straight-edge shall be greater than the diagonal length of the top. There shall be no gap between the straight-edge and top greater than 3 mm at any point along the diagonal length of the top. This test shall be performed along both diagonals of the top before and after performing the top loading specified in BIFMA.
Regulatory requirement. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
