Stand, Office Machine (EDP TERMINAL, Dual Surface)

Salient Characteristics.

These characteristics concisely describe the essential physical and functional/performance features of the items covered herein.

Design. The dual surfaces terminal stand shall be designed for heavy duty use and to be compatible with other components of the modular line.

Ordering options. Tilting keyboard surface; tilting machine surface; color and grain of plastic laminate; color of finish; left and right side extensions; accessories.

Tops. Tops shall be covered with HP plastic laminate with backing sheet on bottom (steel cores excepted), walnut grain per GSA Standard Sample No. FSS-L-0.01002, light oak grain per GSA Standard NO. FSS-L-01015 or matte parchment laminate within the limits of the parchment enamel. Alternatively, the manufacturer may provide his equivalent walnut or light oak grain HP plastic laminate subject to the contracting officer approval. Molding, if used, shall have radius corners and shall match the baked enamel finish within the limits of the material used. Self edge not allowed on front or rear edges of tops. Overall thickness shall be 1” minimum. The rear surface (machine) shall be 27”W by 17”D, minimum and shall have a range of infinite adjustability from 26-1/2” high to 32” high (glides fully retracted). Greater ranges are acceptable. The adjusting mechanism shall be located for operation from the sitting position and shall not interfere with the work tasks of the operator. The front surface (keyboard) shall be 27”W by 12”D minimum and shall have a range of infinite adjustability from 24” high to 28” high (glides fully retracted). Greater ranges are acceptable. Additionally, the surface shall slide forward a minimum of 3”. Mechanical stops shall limit the range of travel to all adjustments. Disassembly of the top from the base by removal of screws directly screwed into composite tops is unacceptable.
