Workmanship. The workmanship shall be of the quality to produce finished attachments, acceptable in appearance, function and serviceability and to prevent potential hazard to personnel or their clothing.
Quality assurance provisions. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements specified herein. Sampling for inspection shall be performed in accordance with MIL-STD-105, unless an equal or better plan is approved by the contracting officer or his/her representative. A lot shall consist of units of one type, class, style, and color. The sample shall be one each. Inspection levels and AQL’s shall be as follows:
For fit, finish and all other workmanship – Level II, AQL 6.5 defects per hundred units.
For packaging, packing, and marking – Level S-2, AQL 4.0 percent defective.
Any failure to meet the dimensions, color, identification label or performance requirements shall cause rejection of the lot.
Performance.
ANSI/BIFMA. Each desk shall comply with the requirements of BIFMA Desk Products Standard X5.5-1989, with the following exceptions.
Exceptions to BIFMA American National Standard X5.5-1989. Sections 13.2.2, 13.2.3, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 are not applicable.
NOTE: 1 - Testing in accordance with Section 4 and 5 shall be conducted with the L-return attached to a desk in accordance with CID A-A-2086C, using brackets described in A-A-2086C and herein.
