Packaging, packing and marking. The chairs shall be individually packaged in accordance with normal commercial practice. The complete package shall be designed to insure delivery, at destination, provide for redistribution by the initial receiving activity, and protect the half container and its packing components shall, as minimum, be capable of withstanding prolonged storage while stacked up six tiers high and shall comply with the applicable “F” pack requirements of the National Motor Freight Classification and Uniform Freight Classification. Form-fitting and open-bottom boxes shall not be acceptable. Marking shall be as specified in the contract or order shall include the precautionary marking required for furniture items.
