COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
STOOL, STRAIGHT
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
commercial item description, for all federal agencies. The original
issue of this CID replaced MIL-S-52791 (ME).
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers a straight,
general purpose stool.
2. CLASSIFICATION. The stool covered by this CID shall be one of
the following types:
Type I:
Nonadjustable height.
Type II:
Adjustable height.
3.
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.
3.1 Stools. The stools shall be as illustrated in figure 1 and
as specified herein. The stools shall consist of a nonadjustable
seat, mounted on, at least, four legs. The construction shall
include leg bracing as illustrated in figure 1.
3.1.1 Type I stools. Type I stools shall be 24.00 ± 1.00 inches
in height and shall have nonadjustable-height legs.
